There are many places to pack in British Columbia. One might need to learn how to live with bears, but it can - and is- being done.

Good pack llamas, like King Edward, are great for kids to work with.

Kids of all kinds like llamas. King Edward with friend, Andy.

Although pack llamas are great in helping families with small kids enjoy the backcountry, like Black Diamond here, it is a rare llama that does not have to be lead. Their necks are too limber for children to have any control over them.
