Goat Rocks Wilderness

and attracts a lot of people. That is your editor and wife on a day hike.

Mount Adams Wilderness

This area of Mount Adams Wilderness is
one of our favorite places to llama pack.
We go there every year.

The Pacific Crest Trail also skirts
the west side of this rugged mountain.

Mount Adams has some wonderful places to pack with llamas.
Not many trails, but some interesting ones,
and good meadows, outstanding views,
with places to get away from the crowds which visit.

This was the picture used by the BCL editor for his Christmas card in 1997.

Getting packs balanced before heading into Mount Adams.
It is very important to have packs as evenly balanced as possible.
